Did you know there is a holiday in which children play dress up and eat candy all day? I had no idea!
My day started with a trip to school, perfectly norma, except that I was dressed as Tinker Bell and Mommy and Daddy stayed with me!
Add to that the fact that everyone else was dressed up too, and it was a little bizarre. My teacher gave me my bag I decorated earlier in the week, and we all walked around and visited the other classrooms.
WHERE THEY GAVE US CANDY!!
Clearly aliens had taken over my parents as I am not normally allowed to have candy, so I immediately demanded they open each piece.
"Later," my mom said.
Oh, yeah. I am not falling for that old trick! I mean, she was saying trick or treat and telling me to wait. Ha!
Finally, one Tootsie Roll and several room visits later, we were finished and the day went on with partying, pizza, and yummy snacks!
When Mom came and got me from school, I was in quite the happy mood. But the fun had only begun!
We ate dinner and then headed out again in my Tinker Bell costume! This time, I took no prisoners and insisted she open the first candy I touched.
I don't care that this is the candy for the nieghborhood kids, I want it now!
So, I got some!! Yum!
Off we went into the darkness, just like a normal walk but without me in the stroller and with a visit to most every house on the block!
How strange!!
